MASkargo Wins ‘Excellence in Occupational Safety and Health Award 2010

MASkargo notched another award under its belt when it was presented with the main prize (transportation sector) at the Excellence in Occupational Safety and Health Awards Ceremony recently.

 

The gala event was held at the Putrajaya International Convention Centre, organized by the Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH), an agency under the purview of the Ministry of Human Resources.

 

The award was presented by Deputy Prime Minister, YAB Tan Sri Dato’ Haji Muhyiddin Yassin, accompanied by the Chairman of DOSH, Datuk Maznah Mazlan. Ibrahim Mohamed Salleh, Head of Cargo Operations and Ahmad Kamal Muhammad, Manager for Cargo Safety received the award on behalf of MASkargo.

 

The ceremony was attended by local and international organizations from various sectors; construction, storage, agriculture, mining, forestry, financial as well as industrial. This success is a testament of MASkargo’s dedication in ensuring that its occupational health and safety is a top priority.

 

Among the criteria for the award includes a reduction in the number of accidents, an excellent occupational safety and health management system, a systematic emergency action plan and effective policy-making.
