Fuel Index

This is the current result of the Fuel Price Index as an average of the four most important spotmarkets (Rotterdam, Far East Singapore, Arab Gulf and North West Europe)

The index is based on an average price of June 1996 of USD 0.535 per UDS Gallon (Index 100).

Methodology

Please be advised that the implementation of fuel surcharge in Malaysia will be carried out based on the following triggering mechanism (revised on Nov 2008).

1. IMPLEMENTATION

1.01 If the fuel index exceeds 405 for two consecutive weeks, the fuel surcharge will be increased to RM 2.47/kg

1.02 If the fuel index exceeds 430 for two consecutive weeks, the fuel surcharge will be increased to RM 2.66/kg

1.03 If the fuel index exceeds 455 for two consecutive weeks, the fuel surcharge will be increased to RM 2.85/kg

1.04 If the fuel index exceeds 480 for two consecutive weeks, the fuel surcharge will be increased to RM 3.04/kg

1.05 If the fuel index exceeds 505 for two consecutive weeks, the fuel surcharge will be increased to RM 3.23/kg

1.06 If the fuel index exceeds 530 for two consecutive weeks, the fuel surcharge will be increased to RM 3.42/kg

1.07 If the fuel index exceeds 555 for two consecutive weeks, the fuel surcharge will be increased to RM 3.61/kg

1.08 If the fuel index exceeds 580 for two consecutive weeks, the fuel surcharge will be increased to RM 3.80/kg

1.09 If the fuel index exceeds 605 for two consecutive weeks, the fuel surcharge will be increased to RM 3.99/kg

1.10 If the fuel index exceeds 630 for two consecutive weeks, the fuel surcharge will be increased to RM 4.18/kg

1.11 If the fuel index exceeds 655 for two consecutive weeks, the fuel surcharge will be increased to RM 4.37/kg

1.12 If the fuel index exceeds 680 for two consecutive weeks, the fuel surcharge will be increased to RM 4.56/kg

1.13 If the fuel index exceeds 705 for two consecutive weeks, the fuel surcharge will be increased to RM 4.75/kg

1.14 If the fuel index exceeds 730 for two consecutive weeks, the fuel surcharge will be increased to RM 4.94/kg

1.15 If the fuel index exceeds 755 for two consecutive weeks, the fuel surcharge will be increased to RM 5.13/kg

1.16 If the fuel index exceeds 780 for two consecutive weeks, the fuel surcharge will be increased to RM 5.32/kg

2. REDUCTION / WITHDRAWAL

2.01 In the event the fuel index falls below 765 for two consecutive weeks, the fuel surcharge as stipulated under item 1.16 shall be reduced to RM 5.13 /kg

2.02 In the event the fuel index falls below 740 for two consecutive weeks, the fuel surcharge as stipulated under item 1.15 shall be reduced to RM 4.94 /kg

2.03 In the event the fuel index falls below 715 for two consecutive weeks, the fuel surcharge as stipulated under item 1.14 shall be reduced to RM 4.75 /kg

2.04 In the event the fuel index falls below 690 for two consecutive weeks, the fuel surcharge as stipulated under item 1.13 shall be reduced to RM 4.56 /kg

2.05 In the event the fuel index falls below 665 for two consecutive weeks, the fuel surcharge as stipulated under item 1.12 shall be reduced to RM 4.37 /kg

2.06 In the event the fuel index falls below 640 for two consecutive weeks, the fuel surcharge as stipulated under item 1.11 shall be reduced to RM 4.18 /kg

2.07 In the event the fuel index falls below 615 for two consecutive weeks, the fuel surcharge as stipulated under item 1.10 shall be reduced to RM 3.99 /kg

2.08 In the event the fuel index falls below 590 for two consecutive weeks, the fuel surcharge as stipulated under item 1.09 shall be reduced to RM 3.80 /kg

2.09 In the event the fuel index falls below 565 for two consecutive weeks, the fuel surcharge as stipulated under item 1.08 shall be reduced to RM 3.61 /kg

2.10 In the event the fuel index falls below 540 for two consecutive weeks, the fuel surcharge as stipulated under item 1.07 shall be reduced to RM 3.42 /kg

2.11 In the event the fuel index falls below 515 for two consecutive weeks, the fuel surcharge as stipulated under item 1.06 shall be reduced to RM 3.23 /kg

2.12 In the event the fuel index falls below 490 for two consecutive weeks, the fuel surcharge as stipulated under item 1.05 shall be reduced to RM 3.04 /kg

2.13 In the event the fuel index falls below 465 for two consecutive weeks, the fuel surcharge as stipulated under item 1.04 shall be reduced to RM 2.85 /kg

2.14 In the event the fuel index falls below 440 for two consecutive weeks, the fuel surcharge as stipulated under item 1.03 shall be reduced to RM 2.66 /kg

2.15 In the event the fuel index falls below 415 for two consecutive weeks, the fuel surcharge as stipulated under item 1.02 shall be reduced to RM 2.47 /kg

2.16 In the event the fuel index falls below 390 for two consecutive weeks, the fuel surcharge as stipulated under item 1.01 shall be reduced to RM 2.28 /kg

* All changes to the Fuel Price Surcharge will take place within 1 week notice.
