Kuala Lumpur International Airport, 6 JUN 2014 - MASkargo today announced the resignation of Mohd  Yunus Idris as the company’s Chief Executive Officer. His last day in the company will be Tuesday 10 June 2014.

Mohd  Yunus is a 30-year veteran of Malaysia Airlines group, having begun his career as Property Controller based in the Company’s town office in Kuala Lumpur.

In 1994 he joined Cargo as the Cargo Project and Planning Manager and was made responsible for the Kuala Lumpur International airport cargo development project. He was then appointed the Ground Support Manager working on solutions for various aspects of airport ramp and Cargo  Operations. With his performance credibility and strong leadership, his career path took him to  become the General Operations Manager in 2001. In 2007, he was appointed the General Sales  Manager. He was made Acting CEO of MASkargo in November 2011, and was officially announced as MASkargo CEO in August 2012.

For Malaysia Airlines Group CEO, Ahmad Jauhari Yahya, “Yunus was able to lead his team at MASkargo to weather the tough cargo industry and its challenging market conditions where demand for cargo movement is greatly affected by economic growth of countries and continents.”

Yunus accomplished much in his 30 year tenure with Malaysia Airlines Group.
