It was a delightful day at the MASkargo Animal Hotel when YB Tuan Nogeh Anak Gumbek, the Honorable Deputy Minister of the Agriculture & Agro-Based Industry, visited the hotel facility together with his team and several representatives from the Malaysia Quarantine and Inspection Services (MAQIS).

Ahmad Luqman Mohd Azmi, Head of MASkargo, led the tour around the 6-Star hotel and provided an overview of the facilities and procedures for live animal transport and the pet stay-in program, which are the core services of the Animal Hotel.

The minister and his delegation were briefed on the hotel’s handling of numerous live animal shipments such as fish, goats, crabs, day-old chicks and cattle to name a few. In addition to providing live animal transport, the Animal Hotel also offers Pets Stay-In program, a ‘hotel’ service for pets. The facility houses canine suites, feline suites, horse stalls and a paddock to ensure maximum comfort for the animals – be it a short-term or long-term stay.

MASkargo Animal Hotel also offers a host of services including grooming, massage, spa and hydrotherapy for the furry loved ones. The MASkargo Animal Hotel is one of only three 6-Star hotels in the world.

Among other points of discussion with the Deputy Minister were the exports of agriculture goods, bilateral trade with partnering countries and MASkargo freighter network.

The tour ended with an impressed Deputy Minister and closer ties between MASkargo and the Malaysian Ministry of Agriculture and Agro-Based Industry.
