CMC/CIR/002/658 To: All MASkargo Tenants We wish to advise that there was an incident of a small fire at one of the office on 12 December 2006 and our initial investigation reveals that overloaded sockets had caused the fire.
Too many appliances plugged into an adaptor, could overload the socket, leading to overheating and possibility of fire.
Besides overloaded sockets, we would also recommend checks on badly wired plugs, repaired power leads and please do not leave cables in the vulnerable position.
The above will, to a large extent, help to eliminate the hazards towards electrical safety.
