Penang Agents Tee-Off At MASkargo Swings 2013

PULAU PINANG, 10 SEPTMEBER 2013 – MASkargo’s premier golf event takes on at an exclusive venue this year – the Penang Golf Club, as it hosted 32 distinguished golfers comprising of business partners and the freight forwarders community in Penang.

Organized annually by MASkargo, the tournament proved to be another success as raring-to-go participants appeared as early as 6.30am at the Penang Golf Club. The tee-off was delayed to 9.00 am as light showers scattered the golf course since 5.00am. With approximately two hours left to the game, the continuous rain started to flood the course.

Subsequently, the golf marshall had to signal the abandonment of the game which left the participants scoreless. The event continued with lunch and a lucky draw session.

Spearheading MASkargo’s team was Mohd Yunus Idris, CEO of MASkargo accompanied by Ahmad Luqman bin Mohd Azmi, SVP of Global Sales & Government Affairs.

In his welcome note, Mr Yunus stated that golf activities such as this serve as a refreshing change whilst allowing the group to strengthen individual and collective spirit in view of the current industry trends.

Charles Yap from AAS Freight Sdn. Bhd. won the grand prize, an OSIM Portable Seat Massager worth approximately RM700 whereas Aravinanthan from DHL Global Forwarding won an OSIM Feet Reflexology Massager.

Various prizes were up for grabs; among them were limited edition golf items, His & Hers perfume set, vouchers from AEON Jusco and Penang Golf Club as well as a complimentary Green Fee package courtesy of the Penang Golf Club.

The agents were very impressed with the championship 18-hole golf course as they could catch glimpses of the stunning panoramic view of Penang including the two bridges that link Penang Island to the mainland which can be clearly seen from different holes.
