KUALA LANGAT, 10 AUGUST 2012 – MASKARGO Sdn. Bhd, no stranger to corporate social responsibility, hosted a break-fast (I’ftar) session with the Pertubuhan Rumah Anak Yatim/Miskin Kuala Langat at their home.

In ways for everyone to express their care and love, the charitable event brought smiles and cheers to the children as it was joined by the Kampung Sg. Buaya residents.

“We are delighted to have this break-fast session as it seems just like one big ‘kenduri’ session. At the same time, we also managed to surprise the children with their ‘baju raya’ and ‘duit raya’. We definitely look forward for this kind of activities again,” said Mohd Yunus Idris, Acting Chief Executive Officer of MASkargo.

In his speech he commented, “Our contribution today is part of our ongoing efforts to work with the community. We are glad that we are able to aid and receive their support, particularly during the Holy Month of Ramadhan.”

MASkargo’s dedication continued with a cheque donation for RM1000 presented to Dato’ Hj. Abu Bakar bin Hj. Abdul Hamid, Yang Dipertua of the Pertubuhan Rumah Anak Yatim/Miskin Kuala Langat. In addition, cash donation collected from MASkargo’s staff added another RM1532 as well as other usable items.

MASkargo’s donation towards the orphans is an example of how a successful corporate giant can contribute towards the community. Moreover, MASkargo is dedicated to develop and build relationships within the community – enhancing the quality of life for people.

The Pertubuhan Rumah Anak Yatim/Miskin was established in December 1994 and is aimed to safeguard and protect young orphans from negative social surroundings in order for them to enjoy a better quality of life. The organization houses 30 orphans who are interested to excel in their studies and life.
