MASkargo Revs Up Petronas' Motorsports Demo Run

KUALA LUMPUR, 15 MARCH 2013 – MASkargo has today announced a partnership deal with PETRONAS, for the exclusive rights to be the preferred air cargo partner for the 2013 PETRONAS Motorsports Demo Run.

As the preferred air cargo partner, MASkargo is transporting the MERCEDES AMG PETRONAS Formula One™ Team’s demo F1 cars, equipment as well as the transportation of the PETRONAS Syntium Team’s Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3 race car, which will also be participating in the demo run.

The partnership will allow MASkargo to further leverage on the international exposure afforded by the sport to continue growing its business and commercial activities.

Set for take place around the vicinity of the PETRONAS Twin Towers on Sunday, 17 March, MASkargo has flown in the MERCEDES AMG PETRONAS formula one demo car and PETRONAS SYNTIUM Team’s Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3 for the event.

The event is set to be one of the highlights in the build-up to the 15th edition of the 2013 Formula 1 PETRONAS Malaysia Grand Prix on 22 to 24 March at the Sepang International Circuit.

Apart from having the opportunity to see PETRONAS’ motorsports personalities in action, the event will also showcase various activities such as PETRONAS Malaysia Grand Prix Showcase, Exhibitions, Military Tattoo, PETRONAS Cub Prix and Asia Road Racing motorcycle demonstration and children’s outreach programme amongst others. The event starts at 2.00pm while the Demo Run will start from 4.30pm.
